Pacific NorthWest Part 2

My favorite road trip while visiting Washington was to Leavenworth, a small town modeled after a Bavarian village. We rented a convertible for the 3 hour drive from Seattle. The route was scenic, and the weather for our little getaway was perfect! Jonathan and I spent 3 days exploring downtown, trying German foods, and soaking up the views of the snow capped mountains. The inn where we stayed was laid back, cozy, and perfect for relaxing after a busy day of exploring!

Where to stay:

Alpen Rose Inn (where we stayed) We loved our stay here! Our room was cozy, the breakfast was delicious, and they served dessert every night!

Enzian Inn  We heard a lot of wonderful things about this Inn, but they were booked for the weekend Jonathan and I planned to go. It is located within walking distance from downtown so it's very conveniently located.

Where to eat:

Muchen Haus This Bavarian grill was my FAVORITE! It's located downtown and offers a super casual environment!

South A spin on your traditional taco Tuesday! They have a salsa bar to try different salsas until you find the perfect one!

Andreas Keller Restaurant Here you can try traditional German food in a cozy environment. Everyone dresses the part which makes it unique!

What to do:

Shopping Downtown has a lot of fun gift shops including Christmas shops that are open all year! Because Leavenworth is a smaller town, the downtown area is easy to navigate and you don't have to worry about blistered feet!

Nutcracker Museum This was an interesting experience, but worth visiting! It was very inexpensive and gave Jonathan and I a few good laughs! Who knew there were so many nutcrackers out there?

Lake Wenatchee This was easily our favorite part of the trip! The scenic drive and the views at the lake were stunning! If you only do one thing, you MUST do this! You won't regret it!
